As part of my trend and color forecasting projects, I am also often commissioned to create accompanying prints/patterns, which down the line are used throughout diverse commercial categories, including apparel, swimsuits, SLG's and packaging. I begin by studying the brand's DNA and examining its essence as it relates to current and aspirational market positioning, future direction and customer base. Drawing from global themes and my intuition, I set out to identify fitting trends as they relate to my clients’ evolving esthetic. I then build supportive mood boards from which I'm inspired to create and color unique patterns. Having done a wide range of seasonal print series for various brands, time constraints combined with the task of generating multiple designs simultaneously representative of separate brand individualities, have led me to continually modify my process and tool kit in order to keep things fresh and without the look of a singular hand. While designing I embrace all of my imagination and creative techniques to conceive distinctive visual outcomes outside my typical design practice in hope of producing versatile and robust collections my clients can build upon and play with. These are some of my favorite designs and some experiments, created for women's, men's and various genders seasonal-driven collections .
